Library Egidio Meneghetti
Many resources are available to institutional and non-institutional users through the University of Verona Library System, mainly formed by the Central Libraries: Biblioteca Arturo Frinzi, dealing with Humanistic subjects and Biblioteca Egidio Meneghetti focusing on Medical-Scientific subjects.
At Biblioteca Egidio Meneghetti lending and enquiry services, as well as access to online medical and scientific resources, are provided throughout the opening hours. The staff, at the desk in the entrance hall of the library, will be pleased to support you.
Further services, such as Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan, bibliographic researches in biomedical and scientific databases and training courses focused on library services and online researches across the most relevant biomedical and scientific databases, are also available.
There are wide reading rooms and a multimedia room.
A study room is open throughout the day till 23.30. From 19.50 and during the weekends, admittance allowed only by badge.
All reading rooms are equipped with wireless access points and power points.
Internet, photocopying and printing facilities are also available on site.

Services are available till 15 minutes before the closing hour.
Users in the multimedia room are kindly requested to leave 15 minutes before the closing hour.

Resources and research tools
Books, e-books, journals, e-journals and databases are available.
To make your search easier, click and browse through the following useful tools.
UniVerSe (University of Verona Search): integrated web portal for print and digital resources like books, journals, e-journals, e-books and databases.
Electronic Journals : search engine by title and discipline area across e-journals. It is also possible to make queries by quoting articles.
E-books : search engine by title.
Databases : list of databases, which gives access to the main subject databases.
Registration required. If you are not registered, please ask our staff at the desk in the entrance hall of the library for lending rules and other details.
It is allowed to photocopy in accordance to the law in force.
You can borrow books from other University’s libraries and return them directly at Biblioteca “E.Meneghetti”.
Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan
You might not find books or articles of your interest in the University Library System, but it’s possible to meet your needs via other Italian or foreign libraries. For this on-demand service a payment might be required.
The library provides/exchanges its own material also with other Italian and foreign libraries.
The library offers free training courses (some of them also in English) to provide users with a practical and effective approach to services and online researches across the most relevant biomedical and scientific databases.
A free, useful and very accurate service across the main biomedical and scientific databases to support students and researchers in their activities.
PC workstations are available in the multimedia room and in the area near the study room. You can connect with your own device to the University’s Wi-Fi system, which is party to Eduroam and also to Verona Wi-Fi, the Municipality of Verona’s Wi-Fi net.
Access to the University’s net (from pc workstations or via wireless) is allowed to institutional or authorized users (e.g. students, Erasmus students, faculty members and staff) using suitable credentials released by the Secretary for students, and by the IT staff for non-students.
To be wireless connected via Eduroam it is necessary to use specific credentials beforehand provided.
External users can ask at the multimedia room staff for a limited internet access only for the PC workstations in the multimedia room.
